在批改學生們的文章中常常看到”the most important thing is that…”或是”more importantly,”當然這兩種用法都是很好的用法，今天要教大家兩個副詞來簡潔有力地強調重要性或是表達程度上的差異。
另外，由於important是一個比較主觀的字，因此在學術寫作中應刻意避免，用下列1,2的用法會使口氣較中立、客觀並更有說服力唷!
1. Significantly 顯著地；相當數量地
E.g My piano playing has improved significantly since I started with a new teacher.自從換了一位新老師，我的鋼琴水準有了明顯提升。
2. Notably明顯地
E.g. “Actual figures are notably absent from Scholar A’s analysis.”
實際的數據明顯地在A學者的分析中被遺漏了。
3. Importantly重要地
E.g. “Importantly, Scholar A was being employed by X when he wrote this work, and was presumably therefore under pressure to portray the situation more favourably than he perhaps might otherwise have done.”
重要的是，學者A在寫這份報告時是被X所聘用，因此根據推估他可能對於描寫當時的情況比起他應該描寫得更加正向。
