1. I have no idea.
I have no idea 不是指『我沒點子』而是『不知道』的意思唷！
2. I couldn’t say.
這邊不是指『我沒辦法說』，會用這個用法，都是在表達『不知道答案』的時候唷！
例句： Do you know when he will come? – I couldn’t say. 你知道他幾點會到嗎？ / 我不知道
3. I’ve never given it much thought.
會用這個表達其實也是意在告訴人家『我沒有答案』的意思，字面上翻起來是指『我從沒有針對這個議題深入想過』，但實際上就是『我不知道』。
例句：What do you think about Vietnam for our next vacation?– I’ve never given it much thought. 你覺得我們下次度假去越南好嗎？ / 我不知道欸。
4. I really don’t know what to say.
I really don’t know what to say. 屬於比較婉轉型的告知別人『我無法回答你的問題/講法』，特別是在人家問你喜不喜歡什麼東西時，若你用這樣的回答方式，其實表示不喜歡，但又不好意思直接說不喜歡。
例句：Do you like the painting? – I really don’t know what to say. 你喜歡這個畫嗎？/ 我真不知道該怎麼回答了。
有點像這個片段的感覺唷：
5. I really can’t say.
這個跟前面的I couldn’t say. 是一樣的意思，用來表達『不知道（答案）』唷。
6. You’re asking the wrong person.
這句也是蠻婉轉地跟人家表達不知道，字面上的意思是『你問錯了人』意在表達『我沒有答案』唷
例句： Do you know how I can get this machine to work? – You’re asking the wrong person. 你知道我怎麼開這台機器嗎？/ 你問錯人了喔
