除了rich 之外還有其他的方式可以講某人很有錢嗎？感覺rich 總是有點直接吧？
今天要跟大家分享五種不同的方式用於表達『某人很有錢』
1. He is a wealthy person.
wealthy /ˈwel.θi/ 意思是『富有的』
例句：With their natural resources they are potentially a very wealthy country.
他們那裡自然資源豐富，將來可能會成為一個非常富有的國家。
另外我們也常常用the wealthy 來泛指『有錢人』
The + adj 這種用法是用來泛指『有這樣狀態的人』例如：the poor (窮人) the underprevileged (弱勢者)
2. He’s well-off.
Be well-off 可以解釋為『有錢的』
例句：Her family was very well off. 她的家庭非常富有。
一樣我們可以用the well-off 泛指有錢人。
也可以解釋為『擁有大量的….』，後面加介系詞for
例句：The city is well off for parks and gardens.
這座城市有很多公園和花園。
＊補充慣用語 know when you are well off 知足
She's always complaining about her car - she doesn't know when she's well off (= she's lucky to have a car even if it's bad)!
她總是在抱怨自己的車不好——她根本就不知足。
3. He’s a fat cat.
fat cat 有『大亨、闊佬』的意思，也可以說是公司的老闆。
例句：The report criticized boardroom fat cats who award themselves huge pay increases.
報告批評董事大亨為自己大幅加薪。
4. He’s filthy rich.
filthy /ˈfɪl.θi/ 可以解釋為『污穢的、骯髒的、下流的』
但Be filthy rich 是一個非正式的口語用法，這邊的filthy 其實是『extremely 極度的』的意思。
5. He’s rolling in it.
be rolling in it 或是be rolling in money 都是表示『極度有錢』的意思。
例句：If they can afford a yacht, they must be rolling in it.
如果他們可以買得起一艘遊艇，那他們肯定超級有錢的。
